Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor I, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) is responsible for providing support and assistance to multiple software development projects for the Application Testing Unit within the Software Development Group (SDG). The ITA works with various project teams and will assist with activities related to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ITA will analyze business needs, document business requirements, assist in designing business process changes, and perform all manner of software testing activities for the Software Development Group. This position will interact with end users at all levels, as well as information technology (IT) staff, management, and executive leadership.

Working Conditions

 

This position reports in office, Monday through Friday, 0800 - 1700 hours. Climate-controlled office setting on the second floor.

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below. The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and 12-point Arial font. Please state at the top of the SOQ: "I understand this position is 100% in office."
  1. Describe your experience supporting software applications and assisting clients or end users. Include examples of how you have managed and resolved support request, troubleshot application issues, and created user documentation, knowledge articles, or training materials to enhance the user experience and promote effective system use.

  2. Describe your experience contributing to the Software Development Life Cycle. Include examples of your involvement in requirements analysis, solution design, testing, documentation, deployment, and release activities. Also describe how you have applied Agile or DevOps methodologies, developed or executed test plans, documented requirements or defects, and collaborated with stakeholders or end users throughout the process.
