About the Role

Silicon Valley's leading AI companies partner with Mercor to scale high-quality data operations.

As a Strategic Project Lead (SPL), you will oversee the tactical execution of multi-million-dollar projects, build trusted relationships with researchers at premier AI laboratories, coordinate the work of more than 1,000 contributors, and ensure flawless operational execution from planning through delivery.

Core Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end data operations.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and continuously improve workflows to maximize efficiency and quality.

Customer Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for leading AI laboratories and enterprise customers.
• Lead daily operational meetings and coordinate rapid issue resolution.

Large-Scale Program Leadership

• Coordinate and manage the work of more than 1,000 distributed contributors across collaborative platforms.
• Ensure project milestones, timelines, and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Quality & Performance Reporting

• Deliver regular progress updates and performance reports to customers.
• Maintain exceptional service standards while supporting complex, high-visibility AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Background in consulting, finance, startups, or other highly operational environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional projects.
• Experience working directly with executive or high-profile clients.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $120,000–$200,000

  • Senior Strategic Project Lead: $150,000–$200,000
