Working Title: Registered Dietitian (Safety)- Nutrition Services Department.
The Department of Nutrition Services is looking for a Permanent- full time position for a passionate Dietitian to join the team. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services, the Registered Dietitian will be responsible for meaningful nutrition assessments, provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) integrated with the patients’ treatment plan goals and provide nutrition counseling/education to patients. Function as an integral member of the clinical interdisciplinary team. Candidates must possess knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process, Development of nutrition care plans and Principles, practices an theories of nutrition and dietetics. Electronic Medical Records and Computrition skills are desirable. Has the ability to perform tasks independently with minimum supervision and analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Candidates must have good verbal skills, read and write English at a level required for successful job performance; ability to communicate with Presentation/Production staff and all levels of Program and Administrative staff including control agencies such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Licensing and The Joint Commission.
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. (Applicants with proof of eligibility to apply for registration will be admitted to the examination but must become registered to be eligible for appointment).
Special Requirement: Candidates must possess current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and be in good standing.

The hospital has an open campus within a security perimeter. Due to community concerns, this facility does not accept patients with criminal history that includes murder, sex crimes, or escape. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
