HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors in Long Beach, CA is looking for a Leak Repair Technician to join their safety conscious team! The Leak Repair Technician will perform basic and advanced on-line leak-sealing repairs using various techniques and equipment. Assists the Field Supervisor with record keeping and data entry concerning repair information.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs basic on-line repairs including drill and taps, adjusting, packing, bonnets, flanges, thread leaks and connectors.
- Assists with advanced repairs such as fabrication, measuring and installation, valve repacking, etc.
- Assists in recording repair information for on-site programs.
- Obtains the proper work permits to perform work in operating areas.
- Completes daily work sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Works closely with management to maintain customer requirements and satisfaction while ensuring that the company's goals and standards are met.
- Must use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to develop effective partnerships to meet mutual goals and objectives,
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to analyze data, evaluate situations and identify problems or opportunities, including likely causes.
- Demonstrates initiative, planning work and carrying out tasks without detailed instructions; makes constructive suggestions; prepares for problems or opportunities in advance and undertakes additional responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma is required; further education in a technical field or relevant college coursework is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial operations or maintenance roles preferred.
- Versatile in handling various tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
- Able to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with plant maintenance and repair is beneficial.
- Able to follow supervisors' instructions precisely.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Involves both indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings.
- Interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Working near production machinery with high noise levels.
- Required to use personal protective equipment.
- Ability to adapt to different job sites and weather conditions.
- Traveling to various sites may be required.
- Must be physically able to walk, climb, and perform field duties.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Good observational skills.
- Manual dexterity for routine office and field tasks.
- Able to travel to off-site locations when necessary.
