This position is a teleworking position with extensive travel throughout the state of California and may need to accommodate the evening and weekend schedules inherent in providing services to school boards.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced governance professional with strong facilitation and consulting expertise to join our team as a Governance Consultant. Under the direction of the Senior Governance Consultant, you will design and deliver customized governance consulting services to school district and county office of education (COE) board members and superintendents as assigned. You will provide guidance to governance teams on the role of trustees; board authority; effective governance practices; defining mission, values and vision; codes of conduct, behavioral norms, and board culture; procedures, communications, and board meeting conduct; board self-evaluation and superintendent evaluation. This position aligns all consulting efforts to focus governance teams on student achievement; performs related duties as assigned.
