Tour Description
Qualified as an HH-60 Maintainer. Performs dedicated crew chief duties as assigned, conducts pre-flight, basic
post-flight, and thru-flight inspections, executes ground servicing, launch, and recovery operations, and ensures
the total safety, airworthiness, and mission readiness of the aircraft.
Day-to-day duties include but are not limited to: coordinating with the operations group to ensure aircraft
availability aligns with the mission and training schedule, coordinating with maintenance back-shops to expedite
unscheduled repairs and scheduled inspections, and maintaining aircraft status and maintenance tracking
calendars. Prior to missions, the Crew Chief will configure and service the aircraft for specific operational
profiles, ensure all maintenance forms and historical records are accurate and complete prior to launch, and
execute post-mission recovery, inspections, and required documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license
• Secret Clearance
• Satisfactory LEA background check with no adverse actions or derogatory comments
• Ability to obtain a Government Travel Card (GTC), if in possession of a GTC SM must be in good standing
• For Army applicants passing ACFT within 12 months of application date; For Air Force Applicants passing
Physical Fitness Test within 12 months of application date
• Must have no documented instances of conduct adversely reflecting on their character, honesty or integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
• HH-60G/W Qualified and Current Dedicated Maintainer
• Previous CDTF Aviation Maintenance / Support Experience
• Previous Aircraft Maintenance Scheduling / Fleet Management Experience
• H-60 Cargo Hook and Sling Load Equipment Inspection/Configuration Experience
