Honey Homes eliminates the hassle of home upkeep, replacing it with comfort and joy. Our 3,500+ members (homeowners) are each paired with a dedicated handyperson who manages lightweight upgrades, repairs, and maintenance throughout the year. All of our handypeople are full-time employees - hired for their technical expertise, service mindset, and integrity. Because the same professional cares for your home consistently, members experience something rare in home services: reliability, trust, and consistently high-quality care.
Behind the scenes, our AI-powered systems help us operate thoughtfully and efficiently at scale. We’re redefining modern homeownership, and we’re just getting started.
As our SDR / Events Marketer, your job is to help more homeowners discover Honey Homes and ultimately get more walk-thrus on the calendar.
A walk-thru is the first in-home appointment where a prospective member meets with one of our specialists to review their home, discuss projects and maintenance needs, and learn how Honey Homes works.
This role sits at the intersection of inside sales, field marketing, and community growth. Some days you’ll be responding to inbound leads and booking walk-thrus over phone, text, and email. Other days you’ll be representing Honey Homes at local events, farmers markets, door knocking campaigns, and community activations across the Bay Area.
You’ll work closely with both Sales and Marketing and will have meaningful influence on messaging, outreach tactics, and local growth experiments as we continue scaling.
This is an ideal role for someone who loves people, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys turning interest into action.
This is a contract-to-hire role based in Oakland, CA, with OTE $80,000 and the opportunity to grow into a long-term role as the company scales.
You’ll help turn homeowner interest into scheduled onboarding visits by creating thoughtful, high-conviction first impressions across inbound and outbound channels.
Examples:
Respond quickly and professionally to inbound leads across phone, text, and email
Follow up persistently with unbooked leads to increase conversion rates
Help improve response quality, speed, and messaging across the funnel
Contribute ideas that increase booked walk-thrus and lead conversion
You’ll help Honey Homes become a more visible and trusted brand in the communities we serve.
Examples:
Represent Honey Homes at local events, farmers markets, fairs, and community activations
Help source and coordinate new grassroots marketing opportunities
Build authentic relationships with homeowners in the field
You’ll act as an important bridge between prospective members and internal teams by surfacing insights and helping test new growth ideas.
Examples:
Share customer objections, feedback, and trends with Sales and Marketing
Test creative outreach ideas and local acquisition tactics
Help improve field processes, messaging, and event execution
Ultimately: do whatever helps generate more qualified walk-thrus
You’re proactive, resourceful, and energized by making things happen. You take ownership, move quickly, and don’t wait around to be told what to do.
You’re comfortable talking to new people in any setting, building trust quickly, and confidently asking for the meeting. You represent the Honey Homes brand with warmth and professionalism.
You handle rejection well, maintain a positive attitude, and continue showing up with energy and persistence.
You thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy feedback, adapt quickly, and are excited to wear multiple hats as the company grows.
We’re seeking a motivated, high-energy operator who enjoys people-facing work and thrives in fast-moving environments.
Ideal backgrounds include:
SDR / BDR experience
Appointment setting or phone sales
Events, hospitality, or brand ambassador work
Customer-facing startup experience
Community marketing or grassroots outreach
Additional requirements:

At Honey Homes, our story is deeply personal. As busy parents of three young boys, we experienced firsthand the challenges of maintaining our home. The endless to-do lists, the difficulty in finding reliable tradespeople, and the time-consuming coordination all added stress to our lives. Not to mention the hidden costs and precious family time taken away.
After an irrigation specialist (rated 5 stars on Yelp!) took a hefty deposit from us and then promptly disappeared, we knew there had to be a better way. We quickly learned that our friends and neighbors agreed whole-heartedly, and so Honey Homes was born.
Our vision is that of a drastically simplified, dare we say - joyful, way to care for your home, where technology and craftsmanship work hand in hand. We pair each household with a dedicated, fully employed, and vetted handyman who manages everything from minor upgrades to routine maintenance tasks—so you don’t have to. Our app assists by making scheduling and communication effortless, giving members peace of mind at every step.
We know your home is so much more than the four walls around you, and believe homeownership should be about making memories in a space you love. However, with home maintenance costs averaging over $6,500 per year and nearly 70% of homeowners feeling overwhelmed by upkeep, it’s clear the traditional model isn’t making this easy. We built Honey Homes to change that.
Our handymen are at the heart of Honey Homes. They are full-time W-2 employees, receiving health benefits, PTO, parental leave, and ongoing professional development. They are throughly vetted for both skill and customer service, and capable of handling a wide range of tasks. Each one only takes on a small group of members, giving them the ability to learn your home and provide the best level of care and guidance.
We are grateful to our nearly 2,000 members for giving us the opportunity and privilege to enter their homes, and invite you to join us in transforming home care from a source of stress into a source of comfort and joy.
