Diesel Mechanic (Union Position)- Irwindale, Ca

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered ready-mix trucks and related heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, braking systems, steering, suspensions, and electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections to ensure fleet safety and reliability
• Repair and maintain hydraulic systems (preferred experience)
• Document repairs and comply with all safety and union requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with diesel engines and heavy vehicle or equipment maintenance
• Military mechanical backgrounds (e.g., motor transport, heavy equipment, maintenance roles) are highly valued
• Welding and hydraulics experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
