As a Security Officer Gate Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor alarm systems, and support a professional environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and production personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, deliveries, and contractor access in accordance with established procedures for a media and technology location.
- Maintain accurate visitor, access, incident, and shift activity records, and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have alarm panel experience preferred.
- Possess a guard card or license preferred.
- Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
