As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver Customer Service in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to guests and staff. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and parking areas as assigned.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, access concerns, and policy violations, helping to deter theft, unauthorized entry, and disruptive behavior.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
