As a Security Officer Armed Hospital Access Control in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Assist with access control, visitor screening, and directions while maintaining a professional presence in patient care and public areas.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- A valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
- A Guard Card or License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
