What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and direct individuals in accordance with established site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
- Maintain assigned equipment, including authorized duty gear, and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
