What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with community procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify access-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with residents and site management regarding access procedures, incidents, and policy-related questions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
