As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Crisis Response in Pacoima, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel at government facilities while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Maintain awareness of assigned areas, control access as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, site requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
