What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor management in accordance with government facility procedures.
- Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess a college degree.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
