What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response protocols.
- Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the location perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or hazards.
- Monitor access points and help maintain orderly movement throughout the healthcare location while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate healthcare personnel and/or emergency responders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
