Position/Titles:

• Security Officer for Transitional Housing in Santa Rosa, Ca

This is a temporary assignment covering an employee on leave, with an expected duration of approximately one month.
Armorous regularly places temporary officers into full time roles once an assignment ends, and we're happy to discuss future opportunities!

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. 
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for conducting hourly tours, ensuring the premises is secure. Access control when checking in and out guests to property, and checking all entrances and exits. Officers assigned to this site are responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment for staff and guests. Duties include controlling access to the property by checking in guests and ensuring all visitors follow site policies.  In addition to access control, officers are expected to conduct regular patrols of the property, respond to disturbances or policy violations, and assist staff when conflicts or disruptive behavior arise. Officers must maintain a visible presence on site and complete detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and any enforcement actions taken during their shift.

Monday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Tuesday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Wednesday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Thursday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Friday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
**40 Hours Per Week**

Compensation:

$22.34 per hour

Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Check ID's of all incoming patrons
• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Qualifications

Security Guard Qualifications:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Current with BSIS Compliance i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
• 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
