Salary:
$32.50 - $35.50 DOE per hour
Required Qualifications:
· Military/Veteran or Military Spouse
· Must have the ability to communicate effectively (verbally/written) at all levels
· Customer service experience
· Public speaking skills are required as you will be presenting Work For Warriors program information to large groups of individuals (e.g., unit drills, veteran hall gatherings, college vet centers)
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products to include MS Teams
· Social media management. Must be able to navigate comfortably using social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.) and analyze data for marketing tactics and targeting demographics.
· Time management and multi-tasking coping skills are a must
· Must be willing to travel on occasion. Travel to other government facilities and to client meetings at a variety of locations in the state shall.
· Record management and organizational skills
· A background in sales, previous recruiting experience, or military transition support.
· Have a working understanding of all the duties and responsibilities.
· Have sufficient knowledge to perform the work described for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
· Recruiting/Staffing Agency/Sales experience is desirable.
· Marketing background
· Demonstrated experience with Military Family benefits and familiarity with Military Family challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities
Actively recruit candidates into the Work For Warriors program and provide continuous job placement guidance to existing candidates. Recruiting new candidates into the program will be achieved via several methods: walk-ins, transition events, job fairs, website inquiries, job board applications, etc.
Provide outreach to Service Members and their immediate Families to provide a variety of employment services.
Network with community business leaders, economic development officials, Technical Colleges, and community Alliances, Community Working Groups, Task Forces depending on the organizations that exist within their region to provide information and/or resources to organizations that connect individuals, groups, and organizations for employment opportunities.
Be knowledgeable on all state and federal programs available to support the needs of the Service and their Family Members.
Be significantly familiar with all programs available to provide quality referrals to support the needs of the Service and their Family Members.
Provide employment options and assistance through case management services. Serve as the information conduit for employment assistance to units, individuals, and Families at pre-mobilization events and throughout the deployment cycle.
Provide career support, development, and maintenance of civilian based careers. Specific services include resume writing assistance and interview skills coaching.
Participate in Yellow Ribbon Deployment Cycle Support Program(s) to include mobilization, during deployment, demobilization, and post deployment activities, providing employment assistance services.
Maintain regular contact with community leaders, employers, training programs, and organizations for the purpose of (A) keeping them advised of eligible Members available for employment and training, and (B) keeping eligible Members advised of opportunities for employment and training.
Provide individual coaching to ensure resources are accessed and employment outcomes are achieved. Refer eligible Members to training, supportive services, and educational opportunities, as appropriate. Conduct appropriate workshops to train Service Members of all Reserve Components, their Families with the skills necessary to access local employment and training opportunities. Provide resume assistance and create job search solutions – each case has the individual level of assistance necessary.
Provide follow-up contact on referrals and as needed, provide additional assistance and/or referrals.
Provide briefings to all local units within their assigned territory.
Ensure your resume includes relevant background to greater your chances for an interview. We are seeking an individual who can mentor/ coach Veterans and/or their immediate family members, with employment opportunities. An individual with great networking skills, who can easily engage with the military community and business employers.
This is not a leadership position; this is a DoD contractor position with the hiring company being Muscogee Staffing Solutions.

Services Provided
Work for Warriors is a FREE direct placement program, similar to a headhunter model, which offers a variety of services to both job seekers and hiring businesses. All WFW services are FREE to both the job seeker and the hiring business.
Job Seekers
WFW provides comprehensive guidance through the various stages of the employment search. The process begins with a brief interview to determine the Candidate’s qualifications, preferences, and career goals. Following the initial screen, WFW is able to facilitate job selection options and provide Resume Critique and Resume Writing assistance, Job Application and Completion support, Interview Practice and Preparation, Referrals and Recommendations, and ultimately Direct Job Placement with WFW Business Partners.
In addition to direct placement services, WFW provides assistance with candidate profile and/or career improvement. Candidates can take advantage of WFW Job Fairs, Salary Negotiation Assistance, Social Image Workshops, and Career Counseling. Upon availability, candidates can also learn new marketable skills through WFW referrals to industry‐specific workshops, job training, trade schools, or apprenticeship programs.
Hiring Businesses
WFW provides free advertising to assist employers to fill their open positions. At a minimum, WFW will post business partner job opportunities on to the WFW online Job Board. Additionally, WFW may send out targeted email “blasts” to candidates in the job’s region or post opportunities on to WFW social media.
WFW also provides pre‐screening services for its business partners. Employers save time and effort by receiving only qualified, vetted candidates from WFW. WFW not only reviews and critiques resumes for our partners, but it also collects other required documents (certificates, aptitude tests, cover letters, etc.) and screens them for completeness, validity, and applicability.
