The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county’s 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.
The job of Campus Security Supervisor under general supervision performs a variety of tasks such as patrolling school buildings and campus grounds to maintain order and security; respond to, investigate, evaluate and control various security situations; monitor students during break periods; maintain a safe and secure environment by protecting students, personnel, property, buildings and equipment, on or off campus; assure student compliance with school policies and regulations.
EXPERIENCE: Some experience in working with youth in an organized setting or other job related experience which would demonstrate appropriate job training, preparation and utilization of skills, knowledge and ability requirements described in the job description. Experience working with students in a security position is desirable. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: - Valid California driver’s license may be required - Certificate of completion of Penal Code Section 832 Arrest Course is required within six months of employment REQUIRED TESTING: Once this position closes, your application will be screened for minimum qualifications. As an organization, it is comprised of the elected Riverside County Superintendent of Schools and the array of individuals employed by the County Superintendent to help fulfill their statutory duties and responsibilities. A seven member elected County Board of Education is affiliated with the RCOE.

The RCOE’s main offices are located in downtown Riverside, California with regional offices in the cities of Indio and Murrieta and a legislative field office located in Sacramento. RCOE operates classroom based direct instruction for students in a variety of unique educational programs at over 100 different locations across the county.
