Entry Level Driver Trainer - SF Bay Area

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Entry Level Driver Trainer to join our team. This 
position is responsible for delivering high-quality driver training to new and entry-level drivers, 
ensuring they meet company, state, and federal safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a 
strong background in driver training, safety compliance, and coaching, with a minimum of five 
(5) years of training experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training for entry-level drivers
• Instruct trainees on safe driving techniques, defensive driving, and company policies
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback
• Administer road tests and skills assessments
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation
• Coach drivers on proper vehicle inspections, logbook procedures, and safety protocols
• Identify performance gaps and develop improvement plans
• Promote a culture of safety and professionalism
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of driver training experience (commercial or fleet preferred)
• Valid CDL (Class A or B, as required) with clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• Ability to work with diverse learning styles and experience levels
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
