Office Services Clerk

About the role:

The Office Services Clerk is the first point of contact at an SIS office. Working alongside a small team of professionals in a fast-paced environment, the Office Services Clerk answers and directs a high volume of calls from SIS clients, employees, and guests, welcomes visitors, and keeps the office running smoothly by managing supplies, break rooms, mail, and shipping. The role calls for outstanding communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to leave a consistently good impression with every interaction.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

• Answer and screen company phone calls and transfer each caller to the right person
• Greets and directs SIS visitors, clients, and guests, following SIS visitor check-in procedures
• Keeps the reception area clean, organized, and professional
• Stocks office supplies and break rooms
• Monitors supply levels and orders supplies as needed
• Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages
• Prepares and sends outgoing mail and package shipments
• Works with other internal service departments to assist with local projects

Qualifications

As a candidate, you must have:

• At least one year of experience in a corporate office setting
• Previous customer service, administrative, or front desk experience is highly desirable
• An associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Salesforce experience preferred
• Excellent phone etiquette and people skills
• A positive attitude and outgoing personality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms), macOS, and iOS devices (iPhone and iPad)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including packages and supply deliveries
• Ability to bend, reach, and stand while restocking supplies and break rooms
• Ability to sit at the front desk and use a phone and computer for extended periods
