Classification: ANALYST II
Under the direction of the Division of Equipment's Fuel Programs Management Branch Chief, a Supervisor I,the Analyst II works independently to perform complex duties associated with research,analysis, reporting, contract management, data review and resource management of the Department’s statewide fuel programs. The Analyst II is the main individual responsible for the programs data reporting, data integrity, and tracking the use of fuel,purchase orders, and expenditures. Incumbent is responsible for facility management coordination including travel and is the primary liaison to DGS on facility related matters. The Analyst II will also provide as needed backup coverage and support to the Statewide Bulk Fuel Delivery and Billing Analyst, in the Fuel Programs Management team of the Office of Budgets and Administration, as needed. The Analyst II remains knowledgeable, open-minded, flexible, is a self-starter, and demonstrates these characteristics in their job performance. Overtime may be required in the event of a fuel or facility emergency.

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
