Classification: PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCH SUPERVISOR I CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL

Under direction of the Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor IIs, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and assigning work to communications center personnel; prepare performance evaluations, monthly CHP 100, Evaluation/Activity Summary forms, citizens’ complaints, injury and illness reports; monitor/manage critical incidents; ability to perform dispatch duties using Inform Computer Aided Dispatch; provide direction and assistance to subordinate personnel and other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Special Requirements:

• The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) a(n) Typing Certificate. You will be required to provide a copy of your certificate prior to being hired.
• Incumbents currently in the classification who are eligible to transfer shall upload a completed and signed CHP 220N, Request for Transfer-Nonuniformed, form to this job control
• The most senior same-class transfer applicant who responds by the final filing date shall be selected
