Customer Service Video Technician

Transdev in San Diego – El Cajon and Chula Vista is hiring a Customer Service Video Technician to support the MTS contract.

Working under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Video Technician provides administrative and analytical support for Customer Service functions, with primary responsibilities involving video retrieval and review, customer complaint investigations, Lost & Found administration, database maintenance, and general customer service support.

The position is based primarily in El Cajon, CA and supports both East County and South Bay operations. This position requires working predominantly during the night shift, with flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or varying schedules based on operational and video retrieval needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Retrieval & Review

  • Retrieve, download, review, preserve, and organize onboard video from applicable video systems.
  • Review video footage related to customer complaints and operational incidents.
  • Prepare clear, factual summaries of video findings.
  • Maintain video retrieval logs and tracking records.
  • Coordinate video requests with Customer Service and other departments as needed.
  • Ensure requested video is retrieved and maintained in accordance with established procedures.

Customer Complaint Investigations

  • Assist with preliminary investigations of customer complaints.
  • Review available documentation and video footage related to customer concerns.
  • Investigate and escalate incident reports as appropriate.
  • Prepare factual investigative summaries and findings.
  • Track complaint investigations and assist with timely case completion.
  • Maintain accurate complaint, investigation, and video tracking databases.

Lost & Found

  • Receive, collect, catalog, secure, organize, and document Lost & Found items.
  • Maintain the daily Lost & Found database.
  • Assist with properly returning and distributing found items.
  • Coordinate the donation, disposition, or destruction of unclaimed items.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding the receipt and disposition of Lost & Found property.

Customer Service & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Customer Service department.
  • Organize and maintain departmental records, databases, and tracking systems.
  • Perform data entry and ensure information is maintained accurately and timely.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, employees, management, and internal departments.
  • Assist with customer inquiries and complaints as needed.
  • Cover the South Bay Administrative Clerk/Receptionist area when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years office experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak and write in English
  • Professional, courteous, and effective interpersonal skills when interacting with the public, clients, and internal staff
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints with patience and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to flexible or varying work schedules
  • Travel requirement (50%): Commute between Chula Vista and El Cajon office as needed
  • Availability to work in the early morning or late evening as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned orwell-ventilatedfacilities
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
