ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Executes installation and configuration of surveillance system components including cameras, servers, network switches, storage devices, wireless devices, equipment racks, cabinets, environmental monitoring tools, and weapons detection systems. Dresses, terminates, tests, certifies, and labels various cable types such as Category cable, fiber, and coaxial. Installs and manages cable pathway systems including conduit, cable trays, racks, J-hooks, and D-rings.
2. Participates and leads the team in installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshoot surveillance system components, including but not limited to equipment racks, cabinets, cable management devices, cabling infrastructure, cameras, camera mounts, public view monitors, license plate readers, environmental monitoring devices, Wi-Fi wireless equipment, mobile camera units, solar panels and batteries, mobile network switches, and weapons detection systems. Completes detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and testing results is maintained to support compliance, auditing, and future scalability. Scope includes installation, repair, and maintenance of surveillance systems across various properties owned and operated by the Tribe.
3. Leads team in preparing and deploying cabling infrastructure installing, terminating, fusion splicing, testing, certifying, dressing and labeling multiple types of cabling such as fiber optic cables, category cable, multi-conductor, coaxial cables and power cables. Ensures exceptional cable management leveraging, systems such as conduit, mounting boxes, cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks, lacing bars, and D-rings to support an organized scalable infrastructure.
4. Reviews work orders processed by the team for quality assurance. Processes work orders, documenting work performed and provides accurate daily and/or weekly status reporting. Provides feedback and/or solutions to projects, tasks and technical, physical installation or mechanical challenges. Conducts routine and emergency maintenance on all surveillance department systems. Diagnoses and resolves outages, technical issues, quickly assessing situations to determine appropriate, effective responses, while maintaining sound judgment.
5. Operates equipment such as man lifts, Ariel boom lifts/trucks, utility vehicles, and enterprise vehicles. Uses tools including but not limited, ladders, power tools and various hand tools. Maintains accurate inventory of all surveillance system components.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, DPS, Facilities or vendors to ensure seamless integration across diverse environments. Adheres to safety protocols and industry standards as work is performed in a variety of settings, including professional offices, active construction zones, and regulated gaming environments.
7. Reviews and stays current on the Surveillance Department Manual (SDM), San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission Regulations, Casino policies and procedures, and applicable Federal, State, and Tribal regulations by completing required training, monitoring updates at least quarterly and applying this knowledge to ensure compliance in YSMN operations.
8. Responds to enterprise technical support requests on an on-call basis, ensuring availability and resolution of critical issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
9. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
