Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director Cancer Center Services, you will lead the Medical Oncology practice and support the day to day operations of our Oncology Clinic in San Luis Obispo, CA. Are you looking to take your career to new heights as a leader in oncology and cancer care? San Luis Obispo Oncology serves a large, diverse population here on the Central Coast of California. Our specialized oncology care team provides personalized, compassionate, expert care to our patients.
In this position, in collaboration with your team and in partnership across our many specialties, you will drive to develop, continually improve and promote quality standards of care while ensuring an excellent patient experience for all patients. You will also be responsible for the financial management of the oncology clinic and partner with Philanthropy to assist with developing funding opportunities for oncology services and cancer care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced healthcare manager or director with a track record of success overseeing inpatient and outpatient oncology services. You must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one on one and in front of groups. Every interaction is an opportunity to share your knowledge with others and improve their understanding of a patient’s needs.
We are offering relocation assistance to all hires who meet relocation eligibility requirements, and we are offering a sign-on bonus up to 10% of salary to fully qualified external hires.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA).
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.
- Active Registered Nursing (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred
- Three (3) or more years Oncology experience.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.

We also involve nurse navigators and local community cancer support resources such as the Hearst Cancer Resource Center.
Our care team supports patients as we would a member of our own family. Our goal at SLO Oncology is to provide a model for quality cancer care where our staff – knowing patient history, family and treatment plans – treat the whole patient, not just the disease.

Qualifications
Required:
