The Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) Team at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics needs self-starting, motivated engineers who are willing to leverage their strengths in a team environment. The DMS team support the programs from obsolescence threats by integrating affordable solutions to ensure readiness.
The DMS Team is an established focal point for integrating obsolescence solutions across the various programs at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. As part of the DMS Team, the DMS Fighter Groups support ADP programs based in Fort Worth, Palmdale, & Marietta. These systems engineers receive an extraordinary level of visibility as well as exposure to programmatic implementation while acting as integrators across a wide range of disciplines both internal and external to the Engineering Technology organization. The DMS Engineers are critical to the production and sustainment of the ADP fleet, with a proven record of mitigating industry obsolescence threats.
The candidate will perform duties which incorporate the analysis of technical and obsolescence data such as Bills of Material (BOM) and other industry reports, as well as inventory management and coordination, in order to identify potential impacts to a program. The candidate will also manage, review and disposition DMS Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRLs), and develop, coordinate, and support the presentation of DMS Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to the program Customer. The candidate will recommend mitigations for DMS events thru the use of Business Case Assessments (BCAs) to identify cost effective ways to protect the production and/or sustainment requirements.
In addition, the candidate will be a stakeholder in the maintenance and development process of various tools which are used by the team for tracking, coordinating, and executing DMS mitigation cases.
