This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.  DMV’s Information Systems Division (ISD) is seeking a motivated team leader to serve as the DevOps manager for the Digital eXperience Platform (DXP) Project, Vehicle Registration (VR) Phase.  The incumbent will develop, implement, and maintain quality standards for DevOps practices supporting DXP products and services, ensuring deployments across Salesforce and MuleSoft pipelines are reliable, consistent, and compliant.  In this role, the DevOps Manager is responsible for enforcing adherence to the full System Development Life Cycle, Change Management protocols, Enterprise Project Management frameworks, Workflow methodologies, and the deployment processes and tools required for modern cloud-based platform operations. The incumbent ensures all release, environment, and CI/CD activities follow approved governance standards and align with DMV modernization objectives. This is a limited term position that may be extended to 24 months and may become permanent.

Working Conditions

DMV operates 24/7.  The incumbent may be required to carry a work cell phone and laptop.  The incumbent may need to be on-site to carry out their duties.  This position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and may require excess hours to be worked.  The incumbent should be available to travel as needed and work evenings and weekends to maintain project schedules.     


Hybrid telework is available but is subject to change.  Telework requires California residency. This position may be required to occasionally report to the designated office location in DMV headquarters at 2415 First Avenue, Sacramento, California, 95818. Travel expenses related to reporting to the designated office is the employee's own responsibility and is not eligible for reimbursement.
