Job Summary

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and under the general supervision of teacher and/or other certificated employee, provides instructional/behavioral support to students in accomplishing learning objectives. Works with students of all ages with severe behavioral, physical, language, or learning handicaps. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• One of the following: - Proof of AA or BA Degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 Semester units OR Certificate showing successful completion of a basic Paraprofessional proficiency test
• EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education) or Equivalent AND Forty-eight (48) semester units or Associate Degree or higher or pass proficiency requirements established by the District
• PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT (At Employee Cost if hired): -TB Clearance -Fingerprinting
• Letter(s) of Recommendation
• Paraprofessional Testing (Proof of AA or BA Degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 Semester units OR Certificate showing successful completion of a basic Paraprofessional proficiency test
