UPK9 is a veteran-owned security and K9 detection company providing services across government
facilities, large-scale events, and professional sports venues. Our team consists of experienced military,
law enforcement, and security professionals committed to safety, professionalism, and operational
excellence.
POSITION OVERVIEW
UPK9 is seeking qualified Armed Security Officers to support security operations at Sutter Health Park
during the 2026 Athletics and River Cats season. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and
controlled environment through proactive patrol, access control, and rapid response to incidents within a
high-traffic professional sports venue.
Primary assignment location: Sutter Health Park (West Sacramento, CA)
Position Type: Part-time / Event-based (W-2)
Schedule: Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on event operations
Preference is given to candidates with prior military, law enforcement, or professional armed security
experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Maintain a visible security presence
● Enforce access control and credential verification
● Conduct patrols of assigned areas
● Respond to incidents and emergencies
● De-escalate situations and maintain order
● Coordinate with law enforcement and event staff
● Document incidents accurately
● Operate in accordance with California state law and UPK9 use-of-force policies at all times
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
● 2+ years of experience (Armed Security, Military, or Law Enforcement)
Required Certifications:
● BSIS Guard Card
● BSIS Firearms Permit
● BSIS Exposed Carry Permit
Additional Requirements:
● Valid California Driver’s License
● Reliable transportation

COMPENSATION
● $30/hour – Armed Staff (Sutter Health Park)
● Training Pay: $18.75/hour (8-hour minimum)
● Overtime paid in accordance with California labor laws
