Company: Healthy Options Vending
Compensation: $30–$35 per hour starting | $40–$45 per hour once fully trained
Additional Opportunity: Long-term profit sharing
Position Type: Delivery, Installation & Route Service

Position Overview

Healthy Options Vending is seeking a dependable, motivated, and mechanically inclined individual to join our growing vending operation.

This is a hands-on position combining delivery, equipment setup, route service, inventory management, customer service, and basic technical support. The successful candidate will deliver and install vending machines at customer locations and then help maintain established routes by stocking products, cleaning equipment, monitoring inventory, and ensuring machines are operating properly.

As experience grows, this position will take on greater responsibility for independently managing vending-machine installations and service routes.

When an established vending location or machine is sold to a new owner, the Route Specialist may also help train the new owner on proper stocking, pricing, cashless payment systems, collections, cleaning, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.

Previous vending experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver vending machines and related equipment to new and existing customer locations.
  • Safely move, position, level, install, and set up vending machines.
  • Use dollies, pallet jacks, liftgates, and other appropriate equipment to safely move machines and products.
  • Test machines, card readers, cashless payment systems, and other equipment following installation.
  • Stock vending machines with snacks, beverages, fresh food, and other approved products.
  • Service assigned vending locations on a regular schedule.
  • Rotate inventory and monitor expiration dates to maintain product quality and reduce waste.
  • Keep machines clean, organized, properly stocked, and professionally presented.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify products, brands, and categories that perform best at individual locations.
  • Recognize and report equipment problems and assist with basic vending-machine and payment-system troubleshooting.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, property managers, employees, and location representatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, installations, inventory, service visits, and equipment issues.
  • Assist with inventory loading, unloading, organization, and preparation as needed.
  • Train new vending-machine owners when an established machine, route, or location is sold.
  • Explain machine operation, product stocking, pricing, collections, cashless payment systems, cleaning, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Perform other vending, delivery, installation, and route-service duties as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong work ethic and a reputation for being dependable, punctual, honest, and organized.
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • The ability and confidence to operate a delivery vehicle.
  • The ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities after completing training.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Basic comfort using smartphones, mobile applications, electronic payment systems, and vending technology.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn how different vending machines operate.
  • The physical ability to lift and move products and safely assist with moving heavy vending equipment using proper equipment and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the company's service area.
  • Attention to detail when handling inventory, money, equipment, and customer property.
  • A professional appearance and attitude when working at customer locations.

Experience in vending, delivery, route service, warehouse operations, stocking, appliance installation, equipment moving, mechanical repair, maintenance, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Career Growth

Starting Pay: $30–$35 per hour

Starting compensation will depend on relevant experience, mechanical ability, driving and delivery experience, and the candidate's ability to learn the vending operation.

Experienced/Fully Trained Pay: $40–$45 per hour

Employees who successfully complete training and demonstrate the ability to independently handle the full scope of the position may qualify for increased compensation.

For this position, “fully trained and operational” means being able to independently:

  • Set up and test machines and payment systems.
  • Stock and service vending locations.
  • Manage route inventory.
  • Identify and address routine equipment issues.
  • Communicate professionally with customers.

Training will be provided.

For the right person who demonstrates strong performance, reliability, and a commitment to helping grow the business, long-term profit-sharing opportunities may also be available.

Mileage & Business Travel

When an employee is required to use their personal vehicle for authorized company business, business mileage will be reimbursed, subject to company policies and applicable California expense-reimbursement requirements.

Company-directed travel, deliveries, installations, and route-service activities will be handled in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour and business-expense reimbursement requirements.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for more than someone who simply wants to deliver vending machines.

The right person will take pride in their work, treat customers and their property professionally, recognize potential problems before they become larger issues, and be willing to learn both the technical and business sides of vending operations.

Our goal is to develop someone who can eventually take ownership of installations and vending routes, train new machine owners, solve routine problems independently, and become an important long-term member of Healthy Options Vending.

If you are dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, enjoy working with customers, and want an opportunity where increased skills and responsibility can lead to increased compensation and long-term growth, we encourage you to apply.
