Job Summary

As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable work environment. Your role is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations by keeping facility infrastructure running smoothly and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and experience with various facility systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and inspections on facility equipment and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to building systems such as HVAC units, lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
• Repair or replace faulty components including motors, sensors, switches, valves, and wiring.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance activities and repairs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate repairs and minimize facility downtime.
• Assist with installations, upgrades, and modifications of facility systems and equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies during maintenance and repair work.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to facility management and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or facility management preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal) sufficient to understand safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, pneumatic systems, and control systems such as PLCs is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or on-call shifts as needed.
