Boutique Wealth Management Firm | $1B+ AUM | High-Net-Worth & UHNW Clients

Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 Base + Bonus | 100% MDV | Hybrid/Remote (MUST reside in California)

Robert Half is partnering with a highly respected boutique Wealth Management firm managing approximately $1B in assets for high-net-worth individuals and families. The firm has built a close-knit, collaborative team and is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join the organization and play an important role in both client service and the continued growth of the tax function.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review individual tax returns for HNW and UHNW clients
• Prepare and review trust tax returns
• Handle a small number of business entity returns
• Provide year-round tax planning, projections, and strategic guidance
• Participate directly in client meetings and communicate complex tax matters clearly
• Review work prepared by other team members and provide guidance and mentorship
• Oversee aspects of the tax function and help ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of deliverables
• Support tax-related operations, processes, and workflow improvements
• Collaborate with Wealth Advisors and other professionals to provide a comprehensive client experience
• Work independently and take ownership of client relationships and deliverables

Qualifications

• Active CPA license - California licensed or able to practice in California
• HNW individual and trust return experience
• Business entity return experience
• Multi-state tax experience
• QuickBooks Online or similar experience
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Self-starter with strong ownership
• Confident working with HNW/UHNW clients
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
