Armed Security Field Supervisor

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Location: In-person (Greater Bay Area)

Schedule: Open availability required, including weekends and varying shifts

About the Role

Diligence Security Group is seeking an experienced and dependable Armed Security Field Supervisor to lead our team of security officers across multiple sites. This position plays a critical role in overseeing field operations, maintaining compliance, supporting client relationships, and ensuring our officers uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

This is a hands-on leadership role best suited for individuals with a strong background in armed security and team supervision. The Field Supervisor will act as a mobile resource for field staff, handle on-site inspections, resolve incidents, and maintain seamless coordination between security personnel and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as an armed, uniformed officer with valid authorization to carry a firearm

Perform scheduled site inspections and patrols, including mobile patrols with a company-provided vehicle

Enforce compliance with post orders, client protocols, and DSG operating procedures

Support, supervise, and coach field officers; address violations and performance concerns

Monitor operational efficiency across assigned client sites, ensuring proper staffing and coverage

Provide rapid response to emergencies, service calls, client concerns, and on-site incidents

Maintain clear communication with clients, site contacts, and management

Complete Daily Inspection Reports (DIR) and document field activity, incidents, and site assessments

Coordinate scheduling, approve timecards, and manage staff reassignments as needed

Supervisory Duties

Lead on-the-job training and field mentoring for new officers

Conduct risk and safety assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities

Perform lock checks, site walkthroughs, and enforce perimeter integrity

Manage performance, deliver coaching, and escalate personnel issues when necessary

Uphold DSG’s standards for professionalism, appearance, and accountability

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Education

Minimum 5 years of security experience (required)

Minimum 5 years of management/supervisory experience (required)

Prior experience supervising armed officers across multiple sites (preferred)

High school diploma or GED (required); Associate’s or higher in Criminal Justice or related field (preferred)

Military or law enforcement background is a plus

Licenses & Certifications (All Required)

Valid CA BSIS Guard Card

Valid BSIS Firearms Permit

Baton Permit

Taser Training Certification

Pepper Spray / OC Certification

CPR / First Aid Certification

Valid Driver’s License

Must own duty vest and firearm

Ability to lead, train, and manage performance under pressure

Professional, composed, and dependable under dynamic conditions

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods

Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds, climbing stairs/ladders, and operating patrol vehicles

Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, outdoors, noise, etc.)
