Fleet Maintenance Clerk
Transdev is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Clerk to support our passenger bus maintenance operations in Inglewood, California. Conveniently located near LAX, we proudly serve ENTERPRISE maintaining a fleet of 40-foot CNG-powered transit buses that contribute to safe, dependable transportation for the city’s commuters and visitors.
As a Fleet Maintenance Clerk, you’ll be a vital part of our administrative team, working closely with technicians, parts suppliers, and operations staff to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of our location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced maintenance environment working side-by-side with mechanics, coordinating with parts suppliers, managing inventory, and supporting efforts to keep our fleet running with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the bus maintenance team, including technicians, supervisors, managers, and the client.
Perform parts research and purchasing to support timely bus repairs.
Track parts inventory transactions, perform physical inventory counts, and help manage stock levels to ensure availability of critical parts.
Process invoices and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely payments and smooth supply chain operations.
Maintain accurate work order records, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety-related documentation.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to purchase parts, coordinate deliveries, assist with sublet service contracting, and resolve operational issues.
Help ensure smooth shop operations by minimizing downtime through efficient clerical support.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance shop and office functions.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in office, data entry, or administrative support, especially in a maintenance or fleet operations setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with mechanics, vendors, and supervisors.
Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to vehicle maintenance operations.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
