Robot Assembly Technician - SF Bay Area, CA

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Robot Assembly Technician to join our growing robotics team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys building, assembling, and troubleshooting advanced robotic systems in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

This is a non-travel role focused primarily on robot assembly, testing, and repair in a workshop or lab setting. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, comfortable using tools, and excited to work with cutting-edge robotic technology.

Key Responsibilities:

● Robot Assembly: Assemble robotic systems and subassemblies following engineering documentation and work instructions.
● Mechanical & Electrical Work: Perform hands-on mechanical assembly, basic electrical wiring, cable management, and component installation.
● Testing & Troubleshooting: Test assembled robots, identify issues, and assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electrical problems.
● Tool Usage: Safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
● Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly steps, parts used, and testing results.
● Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and operations teams to improve assembly processes and product quality.
● Continuous Learning: Quickly learn new robotic platforms, tools, and technologies as systems evolve.
● Quality Control: Ensure all robots meet company quality and safety standards before deployment.

Qualifications:
● Technical Experience: Prior experience assembling machines, equipment, or devices (robotics experience a plus but not required).
● Hands-On Skills: Comfortable working with tools and repairing mechanical or electromechanical systems.
● Fast Learner: Ability to quickly understand and adapt to new technologies and complex robotic systems.
● Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly document work and communicate issues.
● Problem-Solving: Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting instincts.
● Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver robotic equipment as needed.
● Education: No college degree required; technical training, trade school, or equivalent experience preferred.

Schedule & Work Environment:
On-site role in the SF Bay Area
May require occasional extended hours depending on production or testing schedules
