What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for personnel, visitors, and commercial drivers entering and exiting the property.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, visitor logs, access-control systems, and shipping or receiving areas, reporting unusual activity and access concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Preferred ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
