As a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol in CYPRESS, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and guests. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, memorial spaces, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, parking guidance, and adherence to location rules and posted requirements.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Preferred: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Preferred: Experience with access control and badge systems.
- Preferred: Customer service experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
