As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people, packages, and materials; monitoring access points; and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence, professional communication, and customer-focused approach will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct authorized inspections of persons, packages, and property while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
