As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Access Control in Newport, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
- Document observations, incidents, and/or patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
