As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Screening Operations in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will screen individuals and materials, monitor access points, and report security-related concerns. Provide professional customer service, communicate with team members and visitors, and document activities using technology. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen persons, vehicles, deliveries, and/or cargo entering or leaving the logistics location in accordance with established procedures.
- Verify identification, access credentials, shipping documentation, and visitor or driver authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations to appropriate site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
