Job Description:

The L6 position will serve as the team’s subject matter expert in cost estimating, taking primary responsibility for developing high-quality estimates that are currently prepared by program managers or engineers. This role will also be expected to train and mentor team members in estimating methods and best practices, helping raise the overall capability of the organization.

In addition, this individual will lead the development of a cost estimating relationship (CER) catalog to standardize and streamline estimate creation for business managers and program managers. The expected skill level for this position would be advanced and above most members of the current team, with the ability to operate independently and provide strategic guidance in estimating processes, tools, and methodology.

Essential Functions:

• Develops complex, accurate, and defensible cost estimates
• Serves as the organization’s estimating expert
• Trains, teaches, and mentors others in cost estimating practices
• Establishes and maintains a CER catalog for repeatable use
• Improves estimating consistency, efficiency, and quality across the team
• Operates at a higher skill level than most existing team members
• Provides leadership in estimating process development and standardization

• In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area , Denver, or NYC areas is $126,000.00 - $234,000.00 . The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $109,500.00 - $203,500.00 . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location
