POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Senior Test Technician tests, troubleshoots and repairs a variety of electronic assemblies that are produced at PRIDE Industries’ or at a customer’s location. Employees in this job class apply established procedures and equipment quality standards. This job class requires strong knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuitry, standard test equipment and ATE, programming software and hardware, the ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and assemblies drawings.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Supports NPI test process and assist engineering with prototype bring up.2. *Sets up and operates a variety of standard and specialized test equipment.3. *Performs failure analysis, development and modification of test equipment and test procedures.4. *Develops and builds specialized test equipment and fixtures. Installs and debugs software programming and test applications.5. *Tests complex analog and digital printed circuit boards and assemblies.6. *Troubleshoots down to the component level and repairs all nonconforming assemblies.7. *Performs failure analysis to determine root cause of failure and recommends corrective actions.8. *Soldering and de-soldering of components on surface mount and through hole circuit board assemblies.9. *Creates bug lists and debug procedures. Collects test and rework data.10. *Provides training and support of lower level technicians and test operators.11. *Utilizes software and completes transactions.12. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.* Denotes Essential Job Function
