Warehouse Operations Manager / Vehicle Compliance Officer
Pay Range: $27.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience
Casey Logistics is looking for an organized, dependable individual to oversee daily warehouse operations while managing vehicle documentation, inspections, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse, receiving, storage, and distribution activities
- Coordinate warehouse employees, schedules, assignments, and priorities
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse
- Manage the receiving, labeling, inventorying, placement, and release of customer products
- Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse documentation
- Verify inbound and outbound shipment counts and condition
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with dispatch, drivers, customers, and management
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Monitor warehouse equipment, tools, and supplies
- Ensure employees follow company procedures and customer requirements
- Assist with packing, preparation, loading, and unloading when needed
- Report inventory discrepancies, damage, safety concerns, and operational issues to management
Vehicle Compliance
- Organize and maintain records for company vehicles, trailers, and equipment
- Monitor vehicle registrations, insurance documents, permits, and required inspections
- Review daily vehicle inspection reports submitted by drivers
- Immediately notify management of vehicle damage, safety violations, mechanical concerns, or overdue repairs
- Schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Track mileage, service intervals, tires, fluid levels, and preventative maintenance
- Confirm that vehicles contain required safety equipment and documentation
- Maintain accurate driver qualification and training records when applicable
- Help ensure compliance with DMV, CHP, DOT, and company requirements
- Coordinate with repair facilities, vendors, drivers, and management
- Confirm that completed repairs and maintenance are properly documented
- Remove unsafe vehicles or equipment from service until approved by management
Basic Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, logistics, transportation, or fleet-management experience preferred
- Current forklift certification required
- Experience safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Basic understanding of inventory control, vehicle maintenance, and safety procedures
- Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and inventory-management systems
- Ability to supervise employees and communicate expectations clearly
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and follow through until completion
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to regularly lift and handle items weighing 50–75 pounds
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
- Must participate in random drug screenings as required by company policy
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging from $27.00 to $35.00, depending on experience and qualifications
