Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking highly skilled and motivated candidates to join a high-performance team and provide support to US Space Forces – Space (S4S) Combined Joint Force Space Component Command J57 as a Strategic Engagement Support Subject Matter Expert at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. In this role, you will support S4S to provide analytical support to the J57 Military/Civil Integration Division pertaining to international, other government agency, civil, and commercial agency coordination, and communications.

What you will be doing:

  • Participating in OPTs that support allied, civil, and commercial integration to develop and maintain integration and liaison efforts.
  • Contributing to mission analysis products, courses of action (COA) development and analysis; assisting with wargaming efforts (e.g., Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint briefings, written analytical products, and contingency plans) and incorporating allied, civil, and commercial partner equities into the drafting, coordination, and approval of planning documents.
  • Coordinating staffing packages to include a summation of the issues and recommendations to the Government, in accordance with Command, Directorate, and Division instructions.
  • Representing the J57 in Command and multi-Directorate events, such as training, exercises and wargame events.
  • Completing limited admin duties to using the Task Management Tool (TMT) and coordinating with action officers to ensure they are aware of assigned tasks and due dates.
  • Traveling to and participating in related conferences and other events at both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Supporting development and refinement of the S4S Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) assessments affected by civil and partner integration requirements.
  • Providing professional, high-quality partner integration plan product documentation (communication plans, guidance, annexes, messaging, mission analysis, strategy, etc.) to align S4S policy and guidance of its higher headquarters regarding allied and civil integration partnerships.
  • Providing direct analysis, planning, and subject matter expertise in the areas of allied space and civil space operations for the development of standardized processes and procedures.

What you will need:

  • Experience in initiating and/or developing Government specified content for USSPACECOM J5 or relevant Combatant Command experience.
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with allies, international partners, and civil agencies.
  • Ability to identify and resolve challenges at a strategic level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to brief/interactive with senior (GO/FLAG) level officer and senior civilians.
  • Experience coordinating plans between internal and external staff agencies to ensure a coherent effort.
  • Current/relevant space/joint space operations knowledge and background
  • Previous experience on a Combatant Command, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD etc. staff desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required; 15+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Completion of JPME I is highly desired, and JPME II is preferred.
  • Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI, ACCM and SAP eligibility.

In compliance with California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $180,000-$200,00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
