Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, commuters, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public-facing areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access when required, and provide directions, information, and assistance to people entering or moving throughout the location.
• Observe and report operational, maintenance, and/or security-related concerns, following post orders and escalation procedures to support daily site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
