Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this position, under the supervision of an R.N., assists physicians and nurses in preparing for surgery and during surgical procedures; and performs related duties as required . Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.   EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. Six months operating room experience with completion of formal Surgical Tech. Training Programs preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: CPR certification required. Requirement for Surgical Tech II in the Operating Room: One year of experience and Surgical Tech Certification (CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA) required. Requirement for Surgical Tech II in the GI Lab: Two years of experience and a GI Certification (SGNA in lieu of CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA) required.
