Job Description and Duties
LACC is a public safety answering point. Employees answer 9-1-1, public and allied agency lines, as well as making out-going calls to service providers, allied agencies and citizens. PSDs must be able to document information into a computer aided dispatch (Inform CAD) system quickly and accurately and take appropriate action on each call. The classification requires a certified net typing speed of 40 words per minute.

Working Conditions
LACC is currently on a 4/10 alternate work week and a 5/40 work week. These hours may change based on operational needs. Quarterly sign-ups are done on a seniority basis. Daily use of computer requiring typing and sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
