CURRENT SALARY (While Attending the Academy) IS $39.7076/hour or an ANNUAL SALARY of $82,591.86. After successful completion of the Police Academy, the salary is increased to $50.3457 - $58.3857/hour or an ANNUAL SALARY OF $104,719.16 - $121,442.36. There are frequent overtime opportunities for Rose Bowl and Downtown Pasadena events. Once you become a Police Officer there are also multiple assignments offered with premium pay, such as Motorcycle Patrol, Aircraft/Helicopter Pilot, Helicopter Observer Duty, (Field Training Officer (FTO), Gang Detail, SWAT, and Special Investigations.
