Helmets to Hardhats is a Sacramento-based organization that places Veterans  into 4 to 5 year apprenticeships.  No experience is necessary!  Only requirement is a High School Diploma!  Can live in any County in California! A 4 to 5 year commitment is required depending on the skill learned.  After completion, there is advancement opportunities as a Journeyman in chosen field. There is testing in Math and English which requires a passing rate of 80%, along with a Panel Interview.  At times, a Mechanical Aptitude test is also given.  Once chosen and given a start date, full benefits begin on Day 1.  A raise is granted every 6 months, and you are part of their Union.
